January 9, 20206 – It’s no secret, the southern portion of the Yuba River faced a century and a half or more of abuse at the hands of gold, progress, and residential development. The following video, delivered by Verdantas, demonstrates how one for-profit company is approaching cohabitation possibilities between humans and the wild. For example, by reintroducing wetlands to the South Yuba, the flood level along numerous levees has dropped a whopping three feet. THREE FEET!
Yes. I did reach out to them. Hopefully, Verdantas and Yuba College can work together to create a jobs pipeleine locally.
