Yesterday, 17 February 2026, Dr Joe presented to ten students at their weekly Science Club meeting. Korey Champe and Jeff Stollberg provided commentary along the way. All in all, students were encouraged to sign up for the summer internship (paid, BTW) and seemed receptive. Dr Champe reinforced how our certifications in Water Management and Soil Conservation are “stackable,” just a class or two additional to earn both. I pumped the GIS certification as always which was demonstrated in the Verdantas video covering the Hallwood Channel.
All of it seemed to work as eight requested surveys.
Afterwards, the Verdantas relationship – only in its beginning throes – was tossed around between Krulder, Champe and Stollberg. Especially quick how this trio zoned in on the future sustainability of the summer pilot program. Bring it on Fall and Spring semesters: field trips and internships can be arranged.
